Just an arrest - Not a kidnapping

So---people who don’t support these nut jobs and to protest about it can’t because of concern about said nut jobs coming armed to their protest. Whose rights and freedoms are being taken away?

Meanwhile, Republican legislative candidate Paul Smith of Sterling Heights angrily denounced the arrests on Twitter.

"What a totally bogus sham," Smith commented. "These citizens never did anything illegal. Law enforcement is employed to punish people who COMMIT crimes, not people The Governess simply HATES. You can legally hurt Whitmer by voting out her minions."

State Republican leaders were appalled, and announced they had withdrawn financial and other support for Smith’s candidacy, calling the remarks “conspiracy theories and hateful remarks.”

"The Michigan Republican Party is not investing — will not be spending any money or time or energy on his race," Cox told reporters on a Monday call."

"He has some very crazy conspiracy theories that do not reflect the beliefs of thousands of Republicans across the state of Michigan."

From the lead FBI investigator who beat his wife for complaining aboot him forcing her to partake in an orgy, to agents trying to bolster their private business, to CIs pleading the 5th and refusing to testify...seems the government was just putting on a fabricated shit show...

2 men acquitted in alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer; jury deadlocks on other 2

Gov. Whitmer kidnap case crashes: ‘Conspiracy that just never was,’ attorney says

5 takeaways from the Gov. Whitmer kidnap plot trial

Apparently even the two still being held were acquitted of conspiracy charges...evidently the juries were only hung on a possession of explosives and possession of sawed-off shotgun charges.

It would certainly seem that the government's intent was to manipulate an election.
