worm bin
well screen took care of the worm thief.
i have been doing 3 trays in bin. well was lazy so
i added a 4th a month or so ago. today topped off
a tray. with 4 trays be about 12-15 lbs of worms per
bin. they are going thru the food.

is their a wormfood you can buy?
i heard you can just feed them cardboard but now that i think about it im not sure i like the idea. alot of glue in cardboard

i use chicken food now. cheaper i nuke it day before.
i use it to kill any bugs. with the 4th tray a lot more
worms. so be shorter time for harvesting castings from bin.
now my old soil i put into a 30 gal tub. is where i had
the worm thief. i got a small side with plywood in the bin.
is so i can see bottom if to much water or not enough.
after adding old soil with some food i then feed across
whole bin. when i take soil out i do 1 side of the bin.
then add where i have removed. now when i need some
of it. 2 weeks before i feed on newest soil side heavy.
also worms have a sweet tooth. so with that heavy feed
i pour some molasses onto the food and water in. then in
2 weeks can dig out the soil you need. will be very few
worms on that side. because there feasting on the other
side. is a good trick. sorting worms sucks.
