whats with rational people not being athiests?
Rational people should be agnostic. There is no way for us to know – with our limited human capacity – if there is a "god" or not. And even if there is a "god", then how do you define it?

I certainly don't believe in religion, but that doesn't mean I rule out the exitence of a truly omnipotent being. Even if that "being" is the entire multiverse and everything in it.

After all, we are all made up of individual cells, more than half of which are not even "human" (meaning they can survive on their own outside our bodies), so in every respect we are a multi-lifeform made up of many individuals.

It's not a stretch to think that we, ourselves, make up a muti-lifeform that is far bigger than our own comprehension. Hence I'm agnostic, not athiest.

I'm only atheist as far as god is defined by religion. I don't believe in any God as defined. Maybe some incomprehensible force behind it all that has yet to be defined. The great cosmic creator, man.

That's just it. My god is so advanced – so utterly vast and incomrehensible to human beings – that it makes all other deities look like primordial dick cheese. My god isn't even a deity; it's not even an entity. It's far beyond that. I wish I could describe it to you, but I can't even imagine it myself.

Primordial dick cheese seems about right in terms of religion's ranking on the evolutionary scale.

Why are we here?

Some dude in the sky made us.

Why did he make us so stupid?

Because he made us in the image of himself.

Why is god so stupid?

Because we made him in the image of ourselves.

My therapist says I am a habitual liar and an attention seeker, therefore nothing I say/write is true and under no circumstances should I be believed nor held accountable for anything I say. all photo's are paintings

People are born with the instinct to fight against their own death, to struggle with their last breath against even the most unavoidable and uncompromising ends.
