this happened just up the road days ago
CajonPassNorthFire15FreewayAftermath.JPG
private drones flying above the fire interfered with and delayed arial fire supression and the local communities and state are up in arms about it.

three seperate 25 thousand dollar rewards are up for grabs for information leading to the opperators of drones in recent california fire locations

seen the footage of the firemen who turn their hose on an unubtrussive drone thats watching them spot out a house fire?

the drones operator is suing the fire department for damage to his copter
and the homeowner is suing the operator for tresspassing despite the fact that law has long treated private property as public as soon as public services are called

Drones are a real problem for firefighters....there's been warnings to keep them out of the air.

During fireworks this year a bunch of drones were in the air the whole time, very annoying but nothing represents America like a drone, so very appropriate.

well
before you know it
drones will mostly be small enough to pass through any running engine up there
and the point will become moot
just as the public is comfortable with its own further restriction

you seen the tiny jet engine they built years ago?
1/4 inch in diameter. one less than 2 inches long
ran at rpms so high
the noise it produced was all ultrasonic

you couldnt hear it

couple of those in your key chain
and your keys would just hover behind you on call

I'm now under voluntary evacuation order, my oldest daughter who is less than a mile away is under mandatory.

I think we're at about 18000 acres now.

I hate fires. When the big trees go up here some day it'll be apocalyptic. There were fires here the natives were talking about for 100 years after consuming county areas, but that was before any settlers were around. It'll happen again at some point.

had me a drink a few years back with a jefferson county local
thats norther cali southern oregon for yall

he had a row of pictures on the wall
his ancestor's been cutting timber in the neck of the woods going way back

he understood that reseeding with a single species of tree
had been a grave shame

and now it was all down to a single spark

and that was back before the temperature made it so easy

I'm still alive, here is the view from my house today....If the wind shifted it would be at my door in a matter of a few hours.

This is the Rocky Fire......54,000 acres 5%.....My dumb ass will stay at home when/if I send the family out of town....Today the wife and I made our plan...I forgot to include my parents and dogs in the plan so I'm glad we didn't take off today.
