im on vacation ... first this year and i deserved it .. working in a growshop is not a piece of cake, oh no dudes .. contrary, carring bales n bales of substrates, canisters full of "water" ... i mean i got customers who buy - no kidding -400 liters of hy-pro fertilizer, 20 canisters of 20 liters ... so stupid, instead of buying raw salts, that our shop carries too ... they like to "work" out ... and i can feel it in my bones, now 3 days off work and my body is aking like a rotten oxcotin pill, you dont feel your body while beeing in the "work mode" .. some heavy shit fell of my brainz as well, as i could sleep for 16 hours 3 days in row without problems, which isnt possible during working shifts .. i bet most of you know that feeling

the bad part about this vacation .... tomorrow 9 hours bus ride , short 2 day break till thursday, and again 9 hours within the bus ... its cheap, you cant beat the price, like 70 euros in 1 direction for 2000 km

I got that to a lesser state when I moved to Germany for work back in the mid-ninties. In some senses it was rational, I'd made no real plans at all and didn't have enough cash to get home again were it all to go to shit. But I'll remember that sense of anxiety till the day I die, the first day I wandered around the town I'd washed up in. It was close to panic, and were I on the edge of mental illness it would have tipped me over....The way it smelt, the fact that the German I'd learned was useless (accent!) and just how...different it all was. It was overwhelming.

Still, I survived. And a year later, on returning to England, it really taught me what a shit hole this country is in some sneses. I was fucking sick of paprika crisps, though. Oh the joy of cheese n' onion!

Losing a beloved pet is harder than some realize. My 14 year old bull terrier had a stroke the day after Thanksgiving, had to have her put down the next day. I got her right before my only child went away to college, so she kinda became our child...was there through 2 busts and all the crap that followed and really helped me hold it together when it seemed no one was there for me except my wife and son.
I got sick as hell the day after she passed and have been sick since, diverticulitis or cancer or sumthin, they haven't figured it out yet. Guess they haven't sucked my insurance dry enough yet.

Take a hike, immerse yerself in nature: the mountains, pastures, the ocean or sumptn'.

Take a walk about in the woods, if even for a few hours.

I do short hikes all the time to refresh, recharge and get i grounded perspective. IMO it the best medicine for the soul and mind. often an programming or engineering problem I've wrestle with becomes clear after a short climb and a view from the top.

I'm not trying to preach or be trite, I truly believe it will help.

What you should do is think about all the ordinary, mundane shit you do every day without much if any thought, almost subconsciously, and then consider the fact that to do any of them in jail will require someone else to allow you to do them and then they get to tell you when, where and how long you can do them, if at all.

It gets old real fucking fast...don't think revenge is worth going through it year after year, no matter how sweet it tastes.

Maybe just chill a minute, reconsider your thoughts, and take it easy bud.

got home from work and my landlord was waiting for me with the words "deran, i got a couple of emails from your ex-gf" ...
all those weeks it was quiet and peaceful until - well ... he gave me his smartphone to read those emails .. you wouldnt believe ... in short she demanded the deposit for this apartment, as its hers she wrote, because she was the one who payed all bills and the rent and what not ... she was even in a big worry, that i would damage something within the apartment and the deposit would be gone due to restorations ...

then my landlord gave me again his phone to let me read his answer, where he clearly stated that he is tied to the contract that he has with the tenant, as such is the law, and guess what ... exactly - im the tenant, its my signature on the rental contract, its my deposit and its my decision when or where im gonna be the tenant

this situation got me more than mad, the blood in the veins was already boiling and cooking .. first couple of bong hits havent had the effect i needed ... so i choose plan b for relaxation, sat in front of the puter to surf a bit on facebook and read some jokes to lower my blood pressure ... but hey , while im there i can take a look into my emails, bc i had such a feeling .. and ... bingo ... an email from the ex ... but guess what, of course the opposite shit than in the email from the landlord ... Been living with IBS and Divertitis/Colitis since 2001. I don't like to talk about it. But they had me ready to wheel in for heart surgery, to replace my Aortic valve last month, and postponed it at the very last minute, to do this first. 2 GI doctors had been wrong about the order of things. With luck and a favorable 4th Catscan, I"m hoping to go home on Monday, maybe. If not, I have my escape route planned out... Just have to avoid the lasers and tranq darts.. but they will drag me back for a 3rd surgery to put me back together still, and also for the heart surgery.

im not sure what it is, as im having also inflamations on the trigeminus nerve itself (3-4 times a year) , this nerve spans the inner ear, the nose, the eye and the last 4 teeth up n down of the mandibula, this has the "strange" by-effect, that when im doing a massage ontop of my skull/head i can "manipulate" the nerve / pain , as everything is connected

In graphic detail, Corey Feldman reveals in a new memoir the sexual abuse he and the late Corey Haim endured at the height of their high times, when they were the coolest kids in town.

That town was Hollywood and it was awash in pedophiles who prowled the herd of teen stars that came to fame in the ’80s, Feldman writes in the book, “Coreyography,” due out Oct. 28.

The two Coreys, as they were known after their first collaboration in “The Lost Boys” (1987), were picked off early.

They went on to star together in “License to Drive” and “Dream and a Little Dream,” but as drug abuse and the damage of sexual exploitation took its toll, their fame faded.

Haim died of pneumonia in 2010, his 38-year-old body wrecked after 15 stints in rehab to combat his devastating addiction to drugs.

Feldman, 42, writes about the guilt he still feels on being there the night Haim may have been introduced to cocaine.

Feldman was close to passing out from mononucleosis, but roused himself to do blow with Haim and two older men he identifies as Ron Crimson and Tony Burnham. Both are pseudonyms.

“If it wasn’t the first time Haim had experimented with cocaine, it was definitely one of the first,” writes Feldman. “That knowledge has been exceedingly difficult to live with, knowing that I helped influence his drug use and, ultimately, unwittingly contributed to my best friend’s demise.”

What makes the scene even more sordid in retrospect is that the teen boys were sharing the night, and the blow, with their abusers, Ron and Tony.

Haim was the first of the two to be sexually assaulted, though he didn’t recognize at the time that he was being abused.

Haim, then just 14, arrived on the set of “The Lost Boys” thinking that pleasuring older men was just what a young boy did.

And when Haim suddenly came on to him sexually, Feldman was appalled.

“Within hours of our first meeting, we found ourselves talking about ‘Lucas,’ the film he made in the summer of 1985, the role I had wanted for myself,” Feldman writes. “At some point during the filming, he explained an adult male convinced him that it was perfectly normal for older men and younger boys in the business to have sexual relations, that it was what all ‘guys do.’

“So they walked off to a secluded area between two trailers, during a lunch break for the cast and crew, and Haim, innocent and ambitious as he was, allowed himself to be sodomized.”

“So ...” Haim told Feldman, according to the book, “I guess we should play around like that, too?”

Feldman, still a virgin at that point, told him: “No, that’s not what kids do, man.”

The man who abused Haim on the set of “Lucas,” now “walks around, one of the most successful people in the entertainment industry, still making money hand over fist,” Feldman writes, without naming the big shot.

Feldman describes the teenage Haim as being “abnormally” sexualized, as victims of childhood sexual abuse often are.

“Corey talked about sex more than anyone I have ever known,” Feldman writes.

It was Haim’s hyper-sexual behavior that led Feldman to bring him together with two of his abusers, a fact that was explosively referenced when the friends were filming the reality show, “The Two Coreys.”

Suddenly, before the cameras, Haim accused Feldman of unspeakable behavior: “You let me get f----d around in my life — raped, so to speak — when I was about fourteen-and-a-half years-old.”

The first incident occurred on the set of “The Lost Boys,” when, according to the book, the two Coreys were sitting around in a hotel where the cast hung out along with Martin Weiss, a manager of child actors who in 2012 pleaded no contest to two counts of molestation for abusing a male client.

Haim, desperately aroused, was relentlessly hounding Feldman to set him up with someone. Feldman writes that he pointed to Weiss and said: “Marty’s gay? Why don’t you ask him?”

“The two walked, single file, into the adjoining room. ... I heard sounds, banging, thumping. I felt my stomach flip-flop. I felt sick,” Feldman writes.

The disturbing scene was replayed when Haim, once again, pressured Feldman to hook him up. Feldman writes that he caved in, making a call to an “older, kinda fat” actor whom he refers to as Burnham — the second man present during Haim’s alleged introduction to cocaine.

Burnham and Haim went together to a laundry room and, after that day, Burnham was constantly in Haim’s company, according to the book.

Meanwhile, Feldman, who had already appeared in more than a hundred commercials as a child actor and co-starred in movies like “Goonies” and “Stand By Me,” was about to descend into drug hell in the company of the man who would sexually exploit him for years.

The man was Crimson, the other person present during the cocaine incident, and he was in his early 20s at this time, Feldman writes. At 15, Feldman was moving quickly into the celebrity fast lane, doing coke with comic Sam Kinison while being fed a diet of other drugs by Crimson.

One night when Feldman was close to passing out from drugs, Crimson unbuttoned the teenager’s pants before leading him into the bedroom, Feldman writes.

The next morning, Feldman woke up disgusted and hoped the incident would be buried and forgotten, he writes. But Crimson thereafter approached him in a sexual nature again and again, and Feldman writes that he was too confused and scared to push the man out of his life.

“I don’t know why I couldn’t confront Ron, but I was consumed with guilt. I felt like the whole thing was my fault,” Feldman writes. “I desperately wanted him to stop, but I was afraid of losing my friend.”

In the midst of all this, Feldman was palling around with Michael Jackson. The two would later have a falling out, but at the height of Feldman’s fame as a teen heartthrob he and Jackson were good buddies.

Jackson never made any sexual overtures to him, Feldman insists, but at one point, Jackson showed him pictures of diseased adult genitalia. Feldman said the Gloved One did it to demonstrate the dangers of unprotected sex.

One day, the two sneaked off to Disneyland in disguise. Jackson wore a fake nose, sunglasses and a giant Afro. At a teen dance club at the amusement park, Feldman tried to lure Jackson onto the floor, telling him, “Just dance like a normal person.”

Jackson merely raised an eyebrow and continued to lean casually against the wall, the book notes.

That night, when the two were registering for a room at an overbooked Disneyland hotel, a desk clerk didn’t recognize them.

Jackson was forced to show his driver’s license and an American Express card with “Disneyland” and “Michael Jackson” on it.

“I didn’t want to have to do this,” he sighed, Feldman writes.

While Feldman was having innocent fun with Jackson, the scene was different at a soda pop nightclub in Los Angeles frequented by Drew Barrymore, Ricky Schroder, Christina Applegate and, of course, the two Coreys. Feldman doesn’t name the club.

Feldman and Haim’s girlfriend at the time, actress Alyssa Milano, co-hosted the first party. One night, passed out at the home of one of the club’s proprietors, Feldman writes that he woke to find the man “on me.”

“I pulled up my pants and ran ... back to my dad’s apartment, and cried for the rest of the night,” Feldman writes.

He said that it took time for him to realize “that many of the people I had surrounded myself with were monsters.”

There were some true Hollywood moments ahead of him. One was walking the red carpet with his then-girlfriend, Drew Barrymore, at the 1989 Academy Awards ceremony, where Rob Lowe disastrously sang and danced alongside Snow White.

But by 1990, even after Feldman had managed to toss Crimson from his life, the young actor was in a free fall. Arrested with 25 balloons of heroin in his possession — more than two grams — Feldman entered a celebrity rehab facility in Marina Del Ray, Calif., where he writes that guitarist Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction helped him shoot up.

After two more drug arrests, Feldman got serious about getting sober. Nine months of no-frills rehab finally produced the desired results. He claims he has remained cleaned ever since.

But Haim descended into the depths of drug abuse, and Feldman links that directly to the sexual abuse his friend suffered.

Feldman, now a father of a young son, Zen, charges that the “number one problem in Hollywood was, and is, and always will be, pedophilia.”

Still, he refuses to name Haim’s first abuser.

“You can’t go around publicly accusing industry titans without expecting to find yourself in the middle of a nasty lawsuit, to say nothing of the potential threat to my career, as well as to the personal safety of myself and my son,” Feldman explains.

He vehemently blames himself for Haim’s death, however.

“Corey was raped at the age of eleven,” Feldman writes, “and like many, many victims, drug use became an easy, if also tragic, way for him to escape the weight of that shame.”

startpage has another cookie policy and therefore searches arent stored, furthermore if this would work, every user of startpage would have search-auto-complete of all users before him, so if the user before you was looking for pants, oants would show up in your auto complete, tho you never searched for it ...

Researchers have come up with a way to 3D print tough and flexible stainless steel, an advance that could lead to faster and cheaper ways to make everything from rocket engines to parts for nuclear reactors and oil rigs. The team designed a computer-controlled process to not only create dense stainless steel layers, but to more tightly control the structure of their material from the nanoscale to micron scale. That allows the printer to build in tiny cell wall-like structures on each scale that prevent fractures and other common problems. Tests showed that under certain conditions the final 3D printed stainless steels were up to three times stronger than steels made by conventional techniques and yet still ductile.

The work was done using a commercially-available 3D printer, according to Science magazine. "That makes it likely that other groups will be able to quickly follow their lead to make a wide array of high-strength stainless steel parts for everything from fuel tanks in airplanes to pressure tubes in nuclear power plants."

Australian raptors start fires to flush out prey

In the first recorded instance of fire being used by animals other than humans, three Australian birds of prey species have been seen carrying burning twigs to set new blazes. John Pickrell reports.

As life goes on, I went through some changes here n there ... id say positive changes ... when I sum it up

It was December when my grandmother got her heart stroke and had to be hospitalized, for me this was a moment to pack my 7 things and to leave Berlin... man what a hard decision, fucking family ruins my life is all I could think of. Leaving the best and one and only city worthwhile living in dirty Germany was a hard punch into my face, those that don't know, Berlin is a 24/365 city that never sleeps and freedom and anarchy are a big part of its culture. Yeah, im selfish in that regard... had to move back to the country side to take over responsibility for the life of a 84 year old ... fuck, blood is thicker than water ... so i also lost my beloved job at the growshop/hydrostore ... no more customers that give me free weed as a tip ... all the great things that made my dreams a reality were gone and lost... instead I had an old granny i have to take care of ... bummer ...fuck fuck fuck ... typical reaction when your dreams stop ...

So, what next ? ...

Googled around and found something behind the border, well, im in close proximity of Austria , not Australia lol, anyways, I wrote an email, totally against all forms and teachings, explaining my situation and my knowledge - as some of you know - planted my first illegal plant back in 1992, to another growshop that is only 15 minutes away in Austria, and against all odds, I got a response back from the owner, even a positive one ... w000t ..

The other things that speak for me are my experiences that I had in Berlin, and also the facts that i used my moderator statuses at old PG and at the german growing forums, also as the facts that i have lots of pictures showing my growing skills and that i started in the early 90s with this illegal hobby

The height of ocean waves is limited when waves break. When we tried to recreate the wave measured at the Druapner platform by creating ones that travelled in the same direction, they broke about two metres before reaching the scaled height of the wave we wanted.

We then attempted to recreate the wave by making two smaller wave groups that crossed at an angle of 120 degrees. We found that it was possible to recreate the full scaled amplitude of the original Daupner measurement. The height of waves produced under these conditions is not limited by breaking in the same way.

No raid, done manually. I've installed a switch to turn the hdd drives on and off manually from the front. so they can be physically separated if I ever go online. It also has something to do with me booting / trying different operating systems.
But that's just for day-to-day back up, periodic backups always burned on Blu-rays.

well my imac is 10 years old now. all my web browsers are out of date.
just in last few weeks can not even log onto google. my bday was on
the 11th. on that day 2 more web pages would not load. so looked at
prices for a new one. then i slept on it. guess i have to get new one.
been very broke so sucks but life happens. so i ordered a new imac
should be here march 30 or april 1 lol all fools day just my luck.
$1540.00 was total. would only give me a 5% off. i asked for 10% to cover
sales tax but no go only 5% .then to add to it my modem is from 2011 also.
so had to call my net service. well sending me out a new one. but is $10
more a month on bill for it and tec support. spent yesterday backing up
everything i could think of to a EX HD. took all night but was done today.
then i updated my ipods because i don't know if they will work with new imac.
been a crappy week. just thought i would gripe a bit thanks guys
