WTF seeds went crazy?

Post by BCbudinTO »

Hey everyone! Here's an update on the survivors of the first fiasco and a preview of the next fiasco.(hopefully just kidding)

The larger ones in the cups are Jack Herer, Mighty Grape and Critical Mass by initials.

The dome has BOG Blue Moon Rocks and Bogglegum, some OG Kush and some "chocolate kush" seeds from a friend of mine who found them in a bag he got from a local dispensary.

To roots duh .. are you sure your not a Bot?

You can grow in anything Bud. You just need something to hold the plants, protect the roots and feed them.

Air is good.... plant roots breathe and grow faster the more air and proper water and feeding they get.

If everyone would watch Little Shop of Horrors. Humans trying to grow thriving plants could learn a lot of things.

I was told it helps with preventing excess evaporation loss. Sounds reasonable to me. But that could be totally bullshit.

Why do you care about evaporation loss at this point?....you want the soil to dry quick.

The rocks would be better served mixed in the soil or at the bottom of the cup....I see no benefit at all.

I don't know, I was worried about ny room being too dry, I've got an AC unit in there and it seemed like they were drying out fast. I was also told that keeping light off the surface can help prevent the algae or whatever that can attract flies. There are also rocks at the bottom for drainage.

Was Kidding around :) but rocks are porous and roots can grow into rocks. Think ivy vines up side of house.

Anything on top of your soil prevents evaporation. Depending on how "airy" or porous it is. Clay being least water leaking out or in. Mostly around. Rocks sock up water like a thick sponge if submerged long enough. Anyone built a campfire using rocks pulled from a creek or river can tell you why its a bad idea.

I've messed up so many grows and try to learn from them.

Gone back to aero now for cloning.

was getting about 47% success in soil

versus 90% in aero
