I spent a long time trying to find Kirk Sorensons' lies about solar farms, battery life, wind power, and his bullshit about safely using Thorium, and fluidized reactors.
All I found was more and more reasons to shun (as a national grid source) solar/wind/coal/frackgas, as worthwhile to humans. All of these stupid ideas pushed by BIG OIL!!!
They are all worth while to corporate profits, and grant/subsidy farming groups, but an answer to the global power issues, not for a second, for me anymore.
I live within site (some times of the year) of TMI. I know old dudes that worked there before and during the big clean up. His son was on a nuclear sub for years also, and we have talked at length about why industry got the ban hammer, and rightfully so, if you believe in the GreenPeace, and other anti nuc' kooks!!
Until the video, Thorium 2011 entered my head, and all my hatred for that industry, kept my eyes shut tight. All the deaths from Chernobyl , from TMI, then Japans big wash out, made me close up my mind, if GP and the Anti's info is correct. It has become for me, VERY suspect for misinformation.
BUT, what if, there was no big swath of death from fallout?
What if those old reactors were built for poor performance to create weaponized materials, like 99.7% ineffective?
I now know, we built, then tanked the nuclear industry for stupid reasons.
TURN THE NUKES BACK ON!!!
Sorry rant over, going back to my hole, and pulling the cover over, and grow some weed.
Also, I mean no disrespect for anyone's views, I still can not believe I'm promoting this dinosaur.
