just finished watching the new Dune movie, followed by binge watching the Children of Dune movie.

i thought that children of dune was pretty good but
ive read the series many times and know the story well

waiting on the new dune till the directors cut is available

they shot alot of scene that got cut
the banquet hall stuff for instance

stuff that will really make it for a dune fan...

Mostly good imagery from the book. Not a unnecessarily ostentious. So is this just part one. how many new movies are there?
If you didn't read the book I don't see how you could understand what was going on. so much was explained about the universe by the character's thoughts, desires and observations. No mention Chani is the daughter Liet Kynes, the arbitrator of change and Imperial planetary ecologist. It's His dream to change arakkis. And in the book wasn't Liet a he?

Yup I thought children of dune was pretty good too.

its was a 2003 mini series produced by the sciFi channel.

i read that there will be a sequel to this latest dune film...
