pruning in vertical bulb arrangements...

Post by ben ttech »

been wondering

is anyone backing 4 plants in the corners of a space with a vertical 1000 and pruning all branches facing away from the center?

or that is,
the branches outside 90degree arc facing the space?

seen this mentioned a few times
but

havnt noticed the pictures...

havnt noticed the crowd of led manufacturers addressing vertical bulb growers...

ya i think it was smokes showed how, i could be wrong.
anyway 2 lights in middle one up one down. then some cage type
wire around them. there might have been a fan on bottom also.
then plants around the lights. the tops and back sides are trimmed
away. you bud the center of the plants around them.
think that was jest of it.

I have seen some cool looking vert grows. But it does seem like lots of work - at least the initial swing..

Definitely cool looking

coco a coco wit prawn connery led the way for many with his vertical grow set up. i spoke to him on icrag and the old threads are gone. i might have saved some printouts though. 1 pr twp lights with fan blowing directly up at the bulb as said above. plants were not rotated nor trimmed nor trimmed on the back side.

i ran 1 600 hps 5 plants and next run will be six plants. my fan worked great and need to buy a backup just in case. like $20 or less.
i ran 3 thc plants and two thc-cbd plants and aside from light leaks 1st time around i did well. the cbd-thc pants were abnormally hairy though and i will chalk that up to grower error. too many nute variations imho. i used the bigger floor fan for added circulation and that was it. no filters but also no added light reflection which is no biggy based on that set up.

bout t roll a joint of the last standard buds that were de-colored and have a smaller amount of normal colored buds. horrible sporadic humidity really hurt the quality of that bud. took forever and i grabbed bovida packs and used them as soon as they were dry enough.
