I've always thought of FF as the best stuff around here.
but I believe the #1 trick is adding a lot of perlite, like 30%, to improve drainage.
Another good trick is watering in Maxicrop seaweed extract,
and Diamond Nectar humic (fulvic) acid in-between feedings.

FF is good. I use the Happy Frog occasionally.. However The ONE time I tried FFOF I failed. So I remain bias...

If I had added more aeration I bet the plants would have looked much better like yours.

I haven't used Maxicrop but I do use some kelp and other sea product. I'm going to look it up.
