Everything is good on Recent Topics and an new addon Topic Image Preview.
It needs some hacking to show attachments and work on recent topics, but Im not gonna tackle that just yet.
IN a forum on the topic list page, hover cursor over over topic title and any bbcode img tag pics will thumbnail a preview.
go to stoner rambling forum and hover oh fuck oh fuck topic for preview of these images.





I tried to add an image preview extension and the fucking thing broke the site. I cleaned it out of the database, but the site still would not function until I disabled the "recent topics Mod"

go figure

anyway, I'm not gonna fix it tonight.
I'll get it tomorrow.

i guess this is one of those things which requires me to get logged out of every other site (clear cache & cookies) to enable?

hmmm. I didn't have to do that. CHeck your UCP and make sure it's enabled.

Try it in incognito or inPrivate window of browser. if it works there, then it's a browser cache file. If it doesn't work there, then maybe try another browser? I'm not sure.

I don't think Firefox has that option, but I tried Opera w/vpn and it worked after I got logged in.
I wish I could just clear cache and cookies for one site, instead of all or nothing.

Also keep getting logged out all time, while just using FireFox,
even got logged out while typing this post and had to re-type it
so I keep wishing for a [ ] Remember Me tick box at the log-in to help prevent that,
but don't break the site or anything over it, lol

Try now, it was disabled in the security settings, but now shows on my login page

Display Options in your User Control Panel

To all those concerned

This is my UCP in Firefox.


It is rather complete in firefox, Munch.

With that said, I liked being able to change the titles that then showed in "Recent Topics".

I think it livened the list up. I found myself clicking on that link because of the intriguing title.

I think it created more curious interest.

And, one other nitpick, while I'm here anyway! I like to have vertical space between text and images so they don't look scrunched up, crammed in. On the old layout a space was created simply by hitting the "Carriage Home" lever dropping the cursor by one line. Now I have to put something like 3 lines between the text an images to obtain similar spacing. See below...

One other thing.

Just my opinion.

This looks haphazard and wonky. There is A LOT of wasted space under the Recent Topics in the sidebar...


Besides the waste of space, it looks unfinished to me.

My apologies, I forgot to change permission settings, when I moved them over. Go to your User Control Panel now and check your display settings area.
There should be controls available to you.

I've also put 30px on top of every post image, so you shouldn't have to need CR to obtain space. (nice eye to notice that.)
As far as the Post Subject showing as Title in Topic List. Although it does add some flair, it makes moderation not as simple as moderation should be.
So it will stay as displaying Topic Title for now. Maybe User Control of that feature will arise one day.

You know what I find not so aesthetic? Post Icons.. peeking out from beneath the post status icons... that's fixed now.

Attachments just got even easier..
Now you can "copy image" with right click, and then paste that image into a post.
The image will be converted and loaded as an attachment.
Pretty slick.
seems works on web images and your cpu images.

just fyi, for the past few days I've seen a lot of images not loading and pages not found
seems like maybe a server bandwidth issue.. just temporary and sporadic
hitting refresh can go either way, for better or worse
as if I'm getting served from here @ 28k dial-up now & then
it would be funny if it came with that classic old dial-up modem sound-effect, schhh-ka-ding-ding..

You may have reached a limit of a setting, or something I'll see about it

I see your karma was received by Mr g on that post. I also gave him karma. Then I hit the back button and was able to give karma again but I received this error.
Maybe a double click or something?
