tips tricks and observations
trim jail tricks
when trimming drink lots of water. if you stay
hydrated it thins your blood. makes for less cramping.
what i call 20/20. every 20 min while trimming take
20 sec and stare as far away as posable. helps with
eye strain. then when done trimming. put on a
blindfold for 10-15 min. make sure you can open eyes
under blindfold. so keep eyes open with the blindfold.
this will get rid of the leafs burned into your eyes.
also helps with eye strain.

when rooting seeds on paper towel.
if a root grows into the paper. do not try and pull it out.
take scissors and cut paper around root. then plant seed paper and all.

was in chat other night with ben and mites came up.
so to get rid of mites there is a mix that is like a nuke.
a mix of floromite *poison, stirrup M * pheromone
and indicate 5 * changes PH and surfactant.
2 sprayings 4 days apart and there gone for good.

tips tricks and observations
used to put cuttings in pots. for some reason i started
using beer cups. well pulled my head out of my ass.
ordered up some 3.5x3.5x4" square planter pots.
problems with the cups are many. 1st there top heavy.
2nd let light in to roots, thin plastic. 3rd do not drain
well. 4th roots do not go near top of cup. when repotting
dirt likes to come out of top of cups. 5th do not fit well in
a 10/20 tray. side by side notice cup is top heavy.
then drain holes. i would use a ice pick on cups.
they work but need better holes in a cup. notice the
large holes on the pot vs the cup.
the the cups take up a lot of room in a tray.
packed in the pots 18 would fit in a 10/20 tray
so i have wised up and using pots now vs cups.
lastly a white paint pen on black pot easy to see
vs a black sharpy on a red cup. 4 sides on each.
the same thing with using a 5 gal bucket for a pot.
it will work but not well. if you do least use a black
bucket with large holes. a nursery pot works much better.

yes the square pots fit nicely in a tray. can do 3 across
but tilt outer 2 just a little to fit. much cleaner looking
than the beer cups. also the white numbers on black pot
really stand out. glad i changed.
