BREAKING: A treasure trove of documents related to Donald Trump's plans to stay in power have been unearthed, revealing plans that included a complicit Vice President and "loyal" Supreme Court justices.

And the January 6th chaos would have lasted days, not just hours.

According to Josh Kovensky of Talking Points Memo, conservative lawyers attempted to cobble together a legal framework that would allow Trump to remain in power, in spite of the will of the people. Kovensky describes their plans, provided by Trump attorneys who have flipped on him like Kenneth Chesebro, in chilling detail.

"...their theorizing, in early stages, went even further than previously known, imagining a January 6 that lasted for not hours but days, an intervention by Supreme Court justices that they presumed to be loyal to President Trump, and a vice president who upended his constitutional duties, allowing the U.S. to descend into chaos," Kovensky wrote.

Many of the means by which they planned to orchestrate the coup are already known, including having multiple slates of fake electors and having a rogue VP Mike Pence refuse to count Biden's votes.

But the intended involvement of Supreme Court justices should, at the very least, invite scrutiny of decisions regarding insurrection and January 6th expected from the highest court soon.

This term gets thrown aboot quite loosely.

My understanding is that key elements of the legal definition are missing.

- Organized - This is debatable, and would call into deeper scrutiny the roles of suspected agent provocateurs like Ray Epps, who were certainly involved in some level of organization, as opposed to Trump's alleged "organizing".

- Armed - From my understanding there were no arms used/possessed by any protesters.

"In insurrection there is an organized and armed uprising against authority or operations of government whereas riots and offenses connected with mob violence are simply unlawful acts in disturbance of the peace which do not threaten the stability of the government or the existence of political society."

I feel that these criteria have not been met and that prosecutors know this, because...

Since you didn't read and missed the significance, this is evidence to be presented in court.

The plan would have seen the Trump campaign pushing Republican lawmakers to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s win not just on Jan. 6, but for days afterwards. GOP legislators would have feigned confusion over competing slates of electors, paralyzing Congress as the Trump campaign brought increasing pressure on the Supreme Court to step in and resolve the election in their favor. 

To do this, Chesebro formulated various ways to invalidate the Electoral Count Act, the law laying out the procedures for Congress to certify the election on Jan. 6. Critically, the law places tight limits on how long individual lawmakers can debate disputed electoral votes...
