Russia's civil aviation authority says Wagner group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner commander Dmitry Utkin were on board a private jet that crashed in Russia's Tver region north of Moscow, with no survivors.
The pair, who were on the passenger list of the crashed jet, had previously attended a meeting with officials from the Russian Defence Ministry.
A Telegram channel linked to the Wagner Mercenary Group reported that Prigozhin had died.
"The head of the Wagner Group, a Hero of Russia, a true patriot of his Motherland, Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin died as a result of the actions of traitors to Russia," a post in the Grey Zone channel said.

News is they have now found bits of Prigozhin's phone at the crash site. Looking at the video footage, most on board would have been alive when it hit the ground, as the fuselage was intact.
It's interesting how Putin is pretending to be sad about all this, saying Prigozhin "made mistakes" but was still "a talented person". It's almost as if he is trying to convince everyone that it was an accident. An accident that happened to be two months to the day after the mutiny and after Putin himself said he would be "punished".
Interesting tidbit about the Wagner founder being not Prigozhin.EDIT[Utkin and Prigozhin founded Wagner together?] I thought him funding the whole operation made it his batch of batter.
Maybe he just picked it up as an acquisition so he could play soldier.
Another very intriguing U oligarch is Ihor Kolomoyskyi. He has his hands in alot of operations through his Privat Bank. This is the bank that Burisma put all the USAID money that vanished early on. He reportedly owns about half of Burisma, and is pro west as his ties to the energy sector make him early in line to benefit from collateral extraction of resources. His main businesses are banking, resource extraction and trading and mass media operations.
He was also highly corrupt and seemed to rob his own companies into bankruptcy.
He obtained(bought) permission to open Privat bank outside of Ukraine and opened in Latvia.
This was a mistake, because the Latvian government charged him with the financial crimes he was using the bank to acheive.
He moved it to Cyprus where apparently there is far less scrutiny.
He was Z's biggest campaign financer and benefits tremendously from aligning with the West.
Glen Beck dug pretty deep on Ukraine back in the day, and claimed that Kolo was a main player in the nationalist side of the internal Ukraine conflict and funneled money from US to the militias who fought against the new Russian friendly provinces in the east.

Burisma Holdings is a very secretive outfit. It has been registered in Cyprus since the "Orange Revolution" and has reportedly bought up most Ukrainian gas companies. According to the Anti-Corruption Action Center, Burisma Holdings has been controlled since 2011 by Ihor Kolomoisky [1]. The latter, who chairs the European Jewish Parliament (EJU) and owns half of the Jewish News One TV channel [2], was appointed on March 2 Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) by the Kiev junta authorities. He later funded the assault troops that perpetrated the butchery in Odessa on May 2 [3].
Zlochevsky is widely claimed as "owner" of Burisma, I wonder why the media never mentions Kolo.
