couple months back
my job was drywall repairs this guys house after our battery solar install team had done their work.

i see some palatial digs some times but this place took the cake
subtitle opulence aside the houses on this street were WAY spaced out

that speaks to another level of spending ability.

so my job is to do the drywall repairs after out electricians have murdered the place,
these repairs are quite complex due to conduits and boxes edging in every where

quite a test of my abilities and,
for the most part
ive done a great job

sometimes i have to take a grinder to a drywall knife to come up with the tool i need to work in these often confined spaces.

but the owner this job i was working came out and started talking me up,
admitted id asked him why he'd decided to buy a tesla,
im always curious about that

but he tells me hes about to buy a hydrogen car,
and we talked as i worked for nearly 2 hours
as i knew enough about the subject to ask good questions

anyway
hes accomplished other ways obviously but is very involved in a startup thats going to put a hydrogen fuel producing appliance in your garage that your solar panels can keep supplied with the electricity it takes to produce this fuel

says his process has taken the cost of creating a kilo of hydrogen from 50 dollars down to 1.

damn

and hes taken an interest in talking to me
mentioned its not often the people hes talking with undersand the mechanics being the proesses
it would seem hes about to offer me a job...

Good news! If that's what you want, of course. I still think hydrogen fuel cells are a stepping stone towards better battery technology that can capture renewables. My understanding is hydrogen consumes more energy in its production than its net output. It's the same problem they have with biodiesel – it takes more energy to produce than it gives back.

every step of production consumes resources.

i know a mechanical engineer who swears the best 'batteries' will be flywheels, but
for now the armor needed to protect ourselves from their potential cataclysmic failure makes them impractical in vehicles

although telephone companies started turning to them where they needed remote batteries a decade ago...
the intolerance of the old order is emerging from the rosy mist in which it has hitherto been obscured.
