31 years ago today William Cooper began his first ever broadcast with the "Democracy is a code word for socialism." Bill Clinton monikered him as the world's most dangerous radio commentator.

Conspiracy Theorist Slain in Police Shootout
2002
Spring Issue
March 05, 2002

Conspiracy theorist and former militia member William Cooper was slain in a shootout with police.

To many, William Cooper was merely a laughably paranoid, far-right conspiracy theorist. In his famous 1991 book, Behold a Pale Horse, Cooper wrote that President Kennedy was assassinated to prevent the exposure of a secret pact with space aliens.

On his shortwave radio show, Cooper argued that the U.S. government had carried out the Oklahoma City bombing and that it was using remote mind-control devices to establish a socialistic "New World Order."

As it turned out, Cooper, a one-time member of the so-called Second Continental Army of the Republic, was far more dangerous than your garden-variety conspiracy fabulist.

Before law enforcement officers served a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Cooper E-mailed pals that "I will ... try to kill as many as I can before they kill me."

He almost succeeded. After shooting a sheriff's deputy twice in the head, Cooper was killed by police on Nov. 6. The deputy is expected to survive.

The firefight was a disastrous ending to a standoff that had begun in 1998 when federal authorities charged Cooper with tax evasion and bank fraud. Hoping to avoid a violent showdown, agents deferred serving the arrest warrant for over three years.

Then, last July, a local warrant was issued for Cooper's arrest because he allegedly had left his hilltop property to threaten a passerby with a gun.

In the 17-officer operation in November, two sheriff's deputies disguised as pickup-driving civilians tried to lure Cooper away from his house and his large stock of weapons. Cooper surprised them by driving, not walking, to come scare them off.

When the officers identified themselves, Cooper drove home and then almost killed an officer when he swerved around a roadblock erected in front of his house. He shot the other deputy as he ran from his truck to the house.

William Cooper was killed by multiple shots before he made it inside. An acquaintance of Cooper's said that the officers were lucky to get him when they did, because Cooper kept a semi-automatic AK-47 by the front door.

Not such a shocking end to that guy… damn conspiracy nutters getting into firefights with the feds seems to be a trend.

His altercation took place just a couple of months after 9/11. In June of 2001 he said that the US would be attacked and that Osama Bin Laden would be blamed. Pretty good insight for a "nutter".

But didn't he also say that OBL didn't do it? And you believe that, right? That Osama Bin Laden wasn't responsible for 9/11.

Now I know where you get all your crazy one-world government ideas from.

The best one is the bit about AIDS being used to kill off all the "blacks, hispanics and homosexuals". Someone forgot to tell him that AIDS kills white people too.

Or what about the bit about aliens assassinating JFK because he was about to tell their little secret that they were taking over the world?

Clearly the world hasn't been taken over by intelligent extra-terrestrial life because it is still being run by fuckwits. Would aliens voluntarily let someone like Trump run the US? Only if they were laughing . . .

I really do hope some day aliens take over, because humans are fucking stoopid.

I think it’s kind of ignorant to believe we’re all alone in this galaxy.

I can easily see why no other beings would deem us intelligent life.

By no means do I believe we are alone. But the odds of intelligent life evolving just ahead of us to the point where . . .

a) They have developed interstellar travel
and
b) They have not evolved so far as to be so intelligent that we mean absolutely nothing to them

. . . are pretty high indeed!

I have the same problem with aliens as I do with religion: the people who believe in them are just as stupid as their creations. Or is it the other way around?

God is so mighty and omniponent that he created the whole universe out of nothing in six days! But he had to borrow a rib from man to make a woman. Then he forgot how to make humans altogether and, instead of creating more to diversify the genepool, forced bothers and sisters to have sex to populate the rest of the world.

And aliens . . . Oh they are so advanced that they can travel near the speed of light . . . And yet all they really want to do when they get here is hide their lizzard-like forms so they can tell successive world governments how to completely fuck the planet!

Here's a tip:

Real gods are smarter than the Bible

Real aliens are either too unevolved to get here, or too evolved to give a shit about petty human politics.

aliens are here, they've always been here. they have bases underground, underwater, on the moon, Mars, etc. they work with shadow governments and black-ops secret space forces, with agreements/permission to abduct and experiment on humans, as long as they avoid revealing themselves to the general population or upsetting our petro-chemical-energy-$$$ apple-carts. most ufo sightings, including tic-tacs, are our own secret space force vehicles. religions have always just been a means to control and pacify the masses, who don't need to know about any of the other stuff.
