Ya know what pisses me off the most? :pullhair:
I had saved some White Widow & LUI seeds that Mrs. Fly had
sent me a few years ago. That is what are seedlings now... :bigcry:
If not for the fact that I have none left I would just trash these girls. :stinkeye:
They are really infested....being small I am afraid that the treatments
for The BORG is gonna kill them. :bigcry: :bigcry:

Well, you can just blast them off with water... I gave mine a good spray (paying particular attention to the undersides of the leaves) in the shower before I treated them with the permethrin.
The mites don't hold on to the leaves very tightly, and a water jet will dislodge them.
Should keep them under control until you think they're big enough to treat.

I also used a heavy spray of water on my full grown girls and it has controlled things pretty well.... I don't want to spray chemical shit on them.. I went that route last time and wasn't comfortable with the oiliness that the sprays left behind.... I have full grown plants bent nearly upside down and dunked as much under the hard spray as I could.... If I had a perpetual grow going I wouldn't have a choice but to treat with chemicals but since I am totally tearing down at the end of this month and staying that way for a while I will treat the room then... I like the bug bombs and I also scrub down with bleach water.... Some of us grow in homes with no air conditioning and in the summer months.. it gets hot... I'm not real sure what one can do about the heat related issue other than increase the cost of the grow by adding an air conditioner .. if that's even possible... So Labby I hope ALMOST all of our suggestions helped!!!
It's all about the red sole.....

These spider mites are such a problem. On my tropical plants, throughout the years, they often appear and if not noticed quickly, they can cause a lot of damage. You won't see them for years and then, they reappear. They must ride in on our clothes from other peoples houseplants??
I find it harder to notice them on herb once crystals forn, and do not want to spray anything after this point. Complete erradicaion, which may work initially, will likely not last. We want to minimize chemicals for understandable reasons.
Reconsider/consider the oft described strategy of outgrowing them. I have having some excellent success, by splitting my 2 flower lights into seperate rooms. Early flower stage (1st 3wks) gets more scrutiny. Mites are easier to spot, so I can squish, or use a light spot spray (pyrethreum is perfect). I am going to start the jet spray technique also.
Once they enter 2nd room at 4 weeks, they are on their own. If I notice then I will squish or break the leaf off. I simply outgrow any mites at this stage.
I have not been able to buy any natural pyrethrum spray, so I have my own homemade and some neem oil on hand. Fortunately, I have very few mites in the system, that have been able to mount any real attack, so I haven't use any spray for about a month.
In my future post, I am going to ramble a little on my improved success and complete satisfaction using Bio Canna organics.

Tears in eyes....

wipes tears from eyes so he can type words... wheres my snotrag?

sips some of grandpas special recipe for arthritis.

Ok .. heres the sad story. I don't say it was my fault your fault the presidents fault! I'm not saying its anyones fault or excusing the story just stating the facts as I saw them.

I go down stairs the second next day after doing a lot of transplanting. UMM coffee cans to 3 gallon. and what the heck.. lets not exaggerate.

my sour cream was all dried up and perfectly cured .. touch it and the outer leaves fall off. What the HECK did I do.. she wasn't near ready to mature in about 3 or 4 weeks! Still had lots of white hairs.

I took the dried stalk down and dumped the soil to inspect for a fungus or virus or giant plant killing snake. Took no chanches. soil is helping to fill the drainage ditch to not spread anything.

So I trimmed it and lets smoke it.

ok while I'm rolling it up .. I remember back

I somehow stupidly.. apparantently .. "puff" puff" snapped the tap root... while transplanting it into the larger pot.

Never did that before. Teach you a lesson.. be gentle kids. Some plants have very tender and fragile root systems.

I think I have a clone and mother plant just in case but the Sour Cream seems very fragile.

I better smoke some more of it just in case for scientific evaulation.

I should probably save this for very special occasions and ensure its cured properly from here on out.
