Thanks Anu, but I think you missed part of my point.
It is not the just throwing the bums out. It’s not that our elected leaders are corrupt/evil, new ones can be corrupted too, everyone has their price.

Or defeated this one legislation lobbied by the powerful to keep the yolk on us.

Or any legit way through a system that elitist has maneuvered in place to give the illusion we can have control of the situation.

It’s not legislators, their corruption is just indicative of the problem, the powerful greedy elitist that made the legislators, Judges and Prez inconsequential, that is the problem to solve.
These individuals must be removed or at least their heads removed. (it would be nice to remove greed from the human genome but …). These are the smart ones, the ones with resources, they can’t be defeated with words, petitions, matching funds or new leaders.

Hence the referencing about the French and thier use of the guillotine to solve their elitist problem a while back.

I checked the URLs that Lithwick supplied. It is clear that the Obama regime objects to military detention, and I mistook this objection for constitutional scruples.

However, on further reflection I conclude that the Obama regime’s objection to military detention is not rooted in concern for the constitutional rights of American citizens. The regime objects to military detention because the implication of military detention is that detainees are prisoners of war.

Detainees treated according to the laws of war have the protections of the Geneva Conventions. They cannot be tortured. The Obama regime opposes military detention, because detainees would have some rights. These rights would interfere with the regime’s ability to send detainees to CIA torture prisons overseas. This is what the Obama regime means when it says that the requirement of military detention denies the regime “flexibility.”

if your disappeared by the government,
theres no one with any standing to challenge the detention

therefore, the law will never get to be challenged by the judiciary
