send them to rehab or military schoool. just kidding. dick's idea sounds good. the tricky part is whether or not you come clean as well. my uncle, the former hippie and now corporate sellout, smokes pot and his son smokes pot. they didn't smoke together until the kid was 18, but they both knew about each others use. it was sort of an unspoken thing i guess. i visited once when my cousin was around 16, and smoked with him and his dad, so i was happy. his dad even recomended he take me to a head shop while i was visiting. i still have the whippet cracker and proto pipe i bought there.

When my Dad was ready to try pot he came to me and I found something good for him but he never smoked any with me.
That would have been a nice memory, if it had happened.

My 1st reaction would be sadden that I had to find out instead of him/her coming up front ... 2nd reaction would be worried that what he/she scored was not laced up with pesticides and who knows what ... 3rd reaction would be disappointment in me and my kid , me for lack of "reading/sensing" my kid and him/her for lack of communication with me ... and last anger for him/her wasting good money on milk when his father is a cow so to speak (cow say mooo

So what if he/she is 17 and half ? or even 14 but super interested in MJ ... do you really think kicking his/her ass will stop him/her from experimenting ? I for one rather he/she does it in a safe environment (no buying on the streets from weirdos and back alley smoke fest) with a safe product (no laced up shit , no pesticides) ... I for one would be worried sick if I knew my baby girl had to go in some dark alley to score some shitty weed at 10$ for 0.6 of a gram ...
